It was very comfortable and convenient location. The rooms were impeccable and bed was great. It looks like they had just redone the place, everything looked new.
I would have to say just the coffee for breakfast, it was not great but rest of food was amazing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed in my room - very comfortable, the bathroom - spacious and tastefully designed. The brekfast served at the hotel (and not at the bar nearby) was adequate. Location is good, with only a pleasant short walk to the city centre. If you go by train, take bus no 33 or 32 and get off at Porta Mazzoni. The hotel is at the end of Strada Maggiore, very close to the bus stops (they are the same for the return journey to the railway station as buses drive around the centre). There are plenty of grocers, greengrocers and bars in Strada Maggiore. Great value for money.
No locked luggage room. I left my luggage at the reception on the first day but the staff were so kind as to take it to my room before I arrived.
The breakfast provision started on the last day of my stay (previously was a very basic breakfast in a bar), and it was very good.
On a 1-way traffic system, so not very easy to find access to public transport. Hotel staff did not know, so had to find out for myself.
The hotel was good for us as we needed a good night rest after whole day of driving. Breakfast was nice, free Wi-fi and the gentleman at the front desk was really helpful.
Parking was expensive. Internet reception was weak in the room but worked well in the lobby.
Really friendly staff and a room that had just been completely refurbished to a very high standard. 5mins from the station using the bus system so really easy to get to.
i liked the location
the room smelled bad and there was moss in the bathroom
The location is truly the best it could be! In walking distance from the center of the old town.In the evening you can just walk back to the hotel. And with that price.. Perfect value for money! A very very good breakfast also. Will go back again there!!
Really nice staff - really good location. Nice breakfast
The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and cool, the latter being important given the hot weather. It was also good that the room was double-glazed given the hotel's location on a busy road. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food available, at least for the earlier arrivals during its three-hour slot.
It was convenient, clean, good value for money.
The lady in charge of serving the breakfast was very grumpy and did not make you feel welcome.
Good position. Medium comfort. Room clean, bathroom luminoius large and with window. Good quality/price.
Breafkast attendant not so gently as we can hope, in that case, a little bit attention to che client is required.
Hotel was lovely, it had character and very friendly staff. Previous reviews mentioned some staff couldn't speak much English but as I can speak Italian this wasn't a problem (and to be honest they know enough English to get by). Bedroom was a good size with big ensuite. Nice bright room for breakfast in the morning, with great choice of Italian foods - including some lovely pastries, both sweet and savoury! I would definitely stay here again!
The hotel was withing easy walking distance of city centre and easy bus route to station. Bus from Airport drops you at Central station then it easy to get a bus on the city perimeter road to the hotel. The room was big enough and well decorated. Breakfast was fine. Lift worked as did everything else.
The staff were very friendly which makes me reluctant to fill in the next section and the breakfast selection was good. The bedroom was clean too.
We had to use an upstairs bathrooms to wash as we couldn't check in to our rooms until after twelve – it did say on the website we could check in at 10:30. The bathrooms we used were dirty and our own bathroom just wasn't clean enough, we also had two floods from the showers while we were there – although this may not have been the hotel's fault, they were very apologetic – it could have been the drains. The staff there were very friendly but the receptionist opened the door to let me out on the second morning without telling me there was a bus strike and knowing I needed a bus to where I was going. Sadly I cannot recommend this hotel.
It was located in the quaint part of the Old Town, on one of the major pedestrian streets. Good for strolling around, and near various restaurants and cafes.
The room was rather old fashioned, bordering on austere. The man on the desk, whom we dealt with for the duration of our stay, spoke no English. The wireless connection is very 'come and go'; if you are looking for a stable wireless connection, then I'd give it a miss.
